CLARE CHRISTIE
Clare Christie has been training and teaching hunter and jumper horses for thirty years. She promotes proven classical training methods learned from her mother Janet as well as other instructors she has worked with. She specializes in helping her students train in a calm way being mindful of how their own
balance and movements affect the horse. Educated at the University of the South, she decided to take
her passion for horses into a career combining art and horses.
She has been working for many years as both a sculptor and
riding instructor. Her keen eye for subtle changes in the horse’s body language is also apparent in her artwork which is
all about their graceful movement. The sculptures she
creates can be seen exhibited at international horse shows where collectors come to see her latest works.
